Investigation of the Degradation of Toxic Curing Accelerators and Antioxidants in Native Soil Flora

Abstract: It is known from investigations performed in landfill sites used for rubber waste that vulcanisation accelerations and anti-ageing agents are eluted by rain water and soil humidity. These rubber chemicals and partially formed degradation products [1,2] can reach and pollute the groundwater or may be mineralised beforehand by hydrolysis and biological degradation processes.
