“…Microscopic studies have also shown that fuels with lower viscosity and surface tension (diesel oil coconut methyl ester) have smaller Sauter diameters (SMD) in the sprayed stream. Research conducted by Anis, et al [3] showed that preheating the fuel improves spraying parameters. The analysis was carried out for pure biofuels and mixtures of biofuels with conventional fuel.…”

“…Более высокая молекулярная масса компонентов приводит к ухудшению низкотемпературных свойств топлива, наличие двойных связей в большинстве радикалов кислот обуславливает большую реакционную способность сложных эфиров биодизельного топлива и снижает их стабильность при хранении [9]. Высокая вязкость биодизельного топлива требует модернизации двигателя (например, добавления устройства для подогрева топлива перед его поступлением в камеру сгорания) [10].…”

“…Most significantly, biodiesel increases in vapour phase penetration, with a slight decrease of the spray angle while increasing the injection from 50 MPa to 150 MPa, indicating an improvement of the spray dispersion and leading to a better mixture quality. Nevertheless, the high values for viscosity and superficial tension in the case of biodiesel cause the reduction of the injection velocity, thus affecting the atomization characteristics of the fuel droplets [2][3][4][5]. This could be improved by controlling the ambient and the fuel temperatures [4,5], increasing the rate of the in-cylinder charge motion or mixing the biofuel with alcohol, whose lower viscosity and surface tension characteristics increase the interaction with the ambient gas [3,6].…”
