Abstract:This paper presents research on the microstructure and mechanical properties of an alloyed composite copper (Cu) surface layer, reinforced with a mixture of chromium–tungsten carbide (Cr–WC) powders. Copper alloying was performed using a high-power diode laser (HPDL).
