Investigation of the Influence of the Rolling Stock Dynamics on the Intensity of Using the Railway Track Elements

Abstract: Purpose. The main purpose of this work is to research deformability parameters of the railway track under various operating conditions as the initial data for the formation of forced oscillations of rolling stock and the trackform use intensity. Methodology. For the research, an original model of the trackform, described with using the basic concepts of the theory of elasticity and the propagation of elastic waves was developed. Findings. It has been established that the ratio between the intensity of work of … Show more

“…Contact interaction is used in models to simulate the interaction of side bearings, center platethrust center-pivot, and coupler-plate and coupler-auto coupler [13]. When describing the contact interaction of bodies, it is assumed that an infinite plane is associated with one of the contacting bodies, and a set of contact points is associated with the second body.…”

“…To address these limitations, we developed an approach that describes the vibration of railway structures under the influence of rolling stock using the theory of elastic waves [39,[41][42][43][44]. For this purpose, the physics of elastic wave propagation is described using geometric vectors that simulate the propagation of elastic waves in space and time (Figure 1).…”

“…(d) next, the sensor must be strongly pressed against the surface previously prepared for installation [12]. It is important during the installation of the sensor to avoid the occurrence of air and bubbles between the sensor and the surface to be glued, it is necessary to press the sensor completely against the surface and hold for at least 30 seconds.…”
