Abstract. The paper studied the structure of the deposited coating, formed on 45 steel with a plasmapowder surfacing wear-resistant white cast iron. The effect of surfacing conditions and other technological influences on the weld pool during surfacing -current modulation, rapid cooling of the weld beads by blowing air and the rapid cooling of the flowing water of the substrate. Tests have been conducted to determine the plasma-powder coating modes of high alloyed wear-resistant coatings which provide in the middle of the metal deposit the structure and properties that ensure maximum wear resistance. Recommendations of using of cooling systems modes has given to obtain an even distribution of microhardness over the fusion zone .
