Abstract:Concerning the Fukushima nuclear accident, many radionuclides were released into the marine environment, which caused contamination of many parts of the world through ocean circulation. Regarding inland nuclear power plants, freshwater habitats such as reservoirs and rivers could also be polluted by the radioactive effluents. Several models were developed to track radionuclide transport in the water environment. However, the applicability and characteristics of these models were not fully identified and compar… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
