Abstract:This paper studies the wind characteristics measured from two adjacent high-rise buildings. The original results of the wind measurement, including the mean wind speeds and directions, turbulence intensities, gust factors and turbulence integral length scales, are presented. The mean wind speeds and directions measured from the two buildings are very close, thus providing an opportunity to compare the wind characteristics measured on top of them through a statistic method. Therefore, the effects of mean wind s… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
