Investigation on Microstrip Filters with CSRR Defected Ground Structure

Abstract: This paper consists the design studies of complementary split ring resonator (CSRR) defected ground structure (DGS) microstrip filter with low insertion loss in the passband and high rejection in stopband with a comparison of various CSRR-DGS structure has been proposed. Various parameters of microstrip filters have been studied with CSRR-DGS such as roll off rate, bandwidth, effective inductance and capacitance. On the basis of these studies, microstrip low-pass, bandpass and dual-band bandstop filters have b… Show more

“…Due to their many potential applications in a large number of practical problems in electromagnetic, optic and acoustic domains, anisotropic media have attracted much interest and support from researchers and industrials as powerful instruments with a real future in microwave and optic engineering [3,4]. Recently, various anisotropic medium structures are intensively employed in optical systems, optoelectronics, antenna [5], radar absorbers and microwave devices [6] [7]. Their anisotropic nature is an attractive characteristic for advanced electronic application devices based on the nonreciprocity property of complex media [8,9].…”

“…On the other hand, MMs show properties that are directly related to their geometries and to the unit cell dimensions in comparison with conventional natural materials, where their properties are directly related to the base material composition [35]. Generally, the unit cell of the structure is smaller than the wavelength of the incident electromagnetic wave.…”

“…Salah satu bentuk yang sering digunakan pada multi-resonator adalah Square Loop. Ada beberapa artikel yang menyajikan penggunaan resonator berbentuk kotak tertutup ataupun yang terbuka (Closed Square Loop atau Open Square Loop) yang juga bertujuan meminiaturisasi geometri filter [7][8][9][10][11][12][13], namun memiliki struktur yang rumit atau Q-factor yang juga rendah.…”
