“…It lies atop a 10 to 20 meter-high Precambrian and Cambrian limestone bedrock spur that overlooks the basin of Pleistocene wetlands (Winer, 2010), which Clark (1994, 2001) have interpreted as a lake context. The site rests on eroded paludal marls and it is situated on a 16° northwest-southeast gradient (Vita-Finzi, 1966;Neeley et al, 2000).
