Investigations into flexible ultrathin multi-level micro-optics using femtosecond laser pulses

Abstract

Radius of curvature rm Radii at m th integer ωo Beam waist Chapter Research and development of micro-optics patterning platform As discussed in the previous chapters, the combination of GO and FsLDW is promising in many aspects to realise the required highly flexible patterning with simple and low-cost fabrication method for the manufacturing of laser-induced reduced graphene oxide (LIRGO) micro-optics. This chapter presents the research and development of a micro-optics patterning platform which act as the enabler to manufacture LIRGO micro-optics. In particular, the critical components of the platform, such as the laser source, optical components, opto-mechanical devices, and control systems are explained. The detailed methods and formulae used to calibrate and interface the electronic hardware are discussed.
