The fall migration from upper rearing areas in Catherine Creek constitutes a substantial portion of the juvenile production , Jonasson et al 1996. Therefore winter rearing habitat quantity and quality in the Grande Ronde valley may be important factors limiting spring chinook salmon smolt production in the Grande Ronde River.…”
