Investigations of the thermal stability of the submicrocrystalline titanium

Abstract: Methods of transmission including high-resolution electron microscopy were used to examine the kinetics of collective recrystallization in submicrocrystalline titanium Grade-4 and VT1-0. The temperature dependence and values of the activation energy for collective recrystallization have been determined. Problems of practical implementation of submicrocrystalline unalloyed titanium in medicine are discussed.
