“…[ 182,183 ] Karan prepared (1‐ x ) PEO: x Zn (CH 3 COO) 2 SPEs with the conductivity of 1.22 × 10 −7 S cm −1 and the Zn ion migration number of 0.17 by hot press casting technique. [ 184 ] In the same situation, the conductivity of the SPEs obtained by replacing the zinc salt with Zn(OTf) 2 had increased by ten times (1.09 × 10 −6 S cm −1 ), indicating that the selection of the appropriate salts was also crucial to the electrochemical performance of the electrolytes. [ 185 ] However, the ionic conductivity of these PEO‐based SPEs still cannot meet the minimum requirements for the conductivity of solid electrolytes (>0.1 mS cm −1 ).…”

“…6, a Zn 2+ ion is located at the turn along a bending PEO chain coordinated with two [73][74][75][76] , playing a crucial role in defining the electrolyte performance, have been thoroughly investigated. Compared to the hot-press casting samples with Zn(CH 3 COO) 2 75 , the SPEs containing Zn(CF 3 SO 3 ) 2 76 prepared by a similar process exhibited a higher ion conductivity because of the weaker binding of CF 3 SO 3 − to Zn 2+ . However, the solution casting samples with Zn(CH 3 COO) 2 74 showed an exceptionally good ion conductivity, surpassing that of Zn (CF 3 SO 3 ) 2 -containing SPEs, possibly owing to the higher percentage of amorphous phase.…”

“…The maximum ionic conductivity could be obtained when the zinc salt concentration was 5% (1.22 × 10 −7 S cm −1 ). 145 In a subsequent work, Karan et al added Zn(CF 3 SO 3 ) 2 salt to PEO electrolyte and studied the effect of salt concentration on the ionic conductivity. The results show that the PEO : Zn(CF 3 SO 3 ) 2 ratio is 9 : 1, and the conductivity of the electrolyte is 1.09 × 10 −6 S cm −1 .…”
