Invisible Labour of Book Digitization Projects

Abstract: A consequence of increased digitization and online access to library materials is that users may view the book digitization process as being devoid of human labour. This process is an example of an invisible infrastructure that utilizes the guise of access and efficiency to underpay, undervalue, and deskill workers.
