Abstract:Isothiocyanates (ITCs) are phytochemicals with promising cancer-preventive potential. To elucidate the mechanism of cytotoxicity of ITCs, their accumulation by cells and the role of intracellular glutathione, fluorescent 9-isothiocyanatoacridine (AcITC) was synthesized.
