Iodine-Induced Thyroid Dysfunction

Abstract: Purpose of review-To summarize the mechanisms of iodine-induced hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism, identify the risk factors for thyroid dysfunction following an iodine load, and summarize the major sources of excess iodine exposure.
