Abstract:Low-Ir
electrocatalysts are crucial for developing large-scale
polymer-electrolyte-membrane water electrolysis (PEMWE) facilities,
which are necessary to advance the hydrogen economy. However, the
performance and durability of low-Ir electrocatalysts are unsatisfactory.
To address this issue, we prepared selenium-modified Ir nanoparticles
on high-crystalline-carbon (HCC) supports. The introduction of HCC
supports effectively reduced Ir usage, and Se incorporation mitigated
Ir degradation. Se nucleophiles suppr… Show more
Coupling thermodynamic favorable hydrazine oxidation reaction (HzOR) with hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) in a hybrid water electrolyzer is an effective strategy to improve the energy efficiency of large-scale high-purity H2...
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
