Iron-Based Layered Superconductor La[O1-xFx]FeAs (x = 0.05−0.12) with Tc = 26 K

Abstract: We report that a layered iron-based compound LaOFeAs undergoes superconducting transition under doping with F- ions at the O2- site. The transition temperature (T c) exhibits a trapezoid shape dependence on the F- content, with the highest T c of ∼26 K at ∼11 atom %.

“…We notice that the chemical formula of Nb 2 Pd x S 5- is very similar to that of previous-discovered Nb 2 Using the same monoclinic C2/m space group and similar lattice parameters we find that the diffraction peaks shown in Figure 1d can be indexed to the diffraction from the ( l00 ) planes. And the a-axis lattice constant is determined to be 12.041 Å .…”

“…1), various types of iron pnictides containing square lattices of Fe 2 + have been investigated [2][3][4] . That maximum was raised to 55 K in Ln-1111-type LnFeAsO 1 − x F x (Ln denotes lanthanide) 5 .…”

“…The discovery of iron-based superconductors [1] opened a new avenue for the study of hightemperature superconductivity. An intriguing character of iron-based superconductors is their multiband nature which is believed to play an important role for antiferromagnetic and nematic orders in the non-doped parent compound and for high-temperature superconductivity in the doped compound [2].…”
