Iron-catalyzed one-pot synthesis of quinoxalines: transfer hydrogenative condensation of 2-nitroanilines with vicinal diols

Abstract: A transfer hydrogenative condensation between 2-nitroanilines and vicinal diols for the synthesis of quinoxalines, with no additional oxidant, reductant and base.
