“…Iron tungstate, Fe2WO6, which is a member to the Fe 20 3 -W03 system, was synthesized for the first time by Kozmanov [2] from oxidation of ferrberite above 600°C and by Bayer [3] by heating of equimolar mixture of Fe 2 03 and W03 . Recently, it was found that three different polymorphic modifications, namely a-, (3-and yFe2WO6, of iron tungstate can be synthesized [1,4]. Earlier, Parent et al [5] showed the existence of two forms: the low-temperature, a-phase in the present notation, and the high-temperature y-phase, both belonging to the orthorhombic space group (D21 ), the main structural difference between them being the nature of cation ordering [6].…”
