Irrational Prescribing of Antibiotics for Viral Respiratory Tract Infections in Children Aged 1 - 14 Years- A Study in Rural Area of Chandu-Budhera

Abstract: BACKGROUNDDuring the winter season, viral respiratory tract infections are most common amongst children and prescribing of antibiotics has become a routine practice. This study was undertaken to know the extent of irrational prescribing of antibiotics by General Practitioners (GPs) and Practicing Paediatricians (PPs) for viral respiratory tract infections in children.
