Is Language-Learning Disability a Life-Span Phenomenon?

Abstract: The adverse, lifelong, emotional, social as well as academic implications of language disability are described. A plea is made for the use of a teacher-administered screening device, Language Identification Screening Test-Kindergarten (LIST-K) to identify kindergarten children who are at risk for future difficulties because of language delay.
