Is Procalcitonin (PCT) a reliable biomarker for preoperative diagnosing of low grade periprosthetic joint infection? A prospective study

Abstract: Background: Since a "gold-standard" is missing, diagnosing periprosthetic joint infection (PJI) remains a challenge in orthopedic surgery.
