This study aims to identify the factors contributing to the legal protection of workers' wage rights in bankrupt companies in China, focusing on aspects that have not been grounded in social justice. This research is also to formulate and form a legal protection model for workers' wage rights in bankrupt companies based on social justice in Indonesia and China. This research is empirical. The research data is in the form of primary and secondary data (primary and secondary legal materials). The study results show that the factors that cause legal protection of workers' wage rights in bankrupt companies are not based on social justice and are the legal substance factor, namely the legal norms governing workers' wage rights and other rights. When a company goes bankrupt, there is non-uniformity in the priority hierarchy of creditors in the Bankruptcy Law, General Provisions on Tax Implementation Procedures, and Labor Laws. Another factor is the legal and structural factor, which only involves the trustee and supervisory judges in the settlement of bankrupt assets. The last factor is the legal culture, where participation in the payment of bankruptcy assets is minimal and the current economic system tends to be capitalist. Indonesia must take the Chinese government as an example; China places a premium on modifying labour standards to safeguard the rights and interests of workers in all circumstances and promote economic and social development.

Local government competitiveness is an intriguing contemporary issue that has not been discussed extensively in prior studies on the evolution of the structure and scope of government. This study aims to explore how local government management processes can enhance regional competitiveness for the benefit of citizens. Using an analytical hierarchy of paired comparisons and indicator aggregation, this study analyzes several components of the local government managerial process by quantifying the degree of importance of each component. Data were collected from 38 regions in Indonesia and 34 government experts. The results of the analysis show that there are three components of the local government managerial process that contribute significantly to regional competitiveness: the quality of customer/citizen management with an eigenvector value of 0.187, strategic planning with an eigenvector value of 0.169, and the effectiveness of the integrity system with an eigenvector value of 0.136. Other results show that the resultant eigenvector values for other components are less than 0.100 or 10%, so these components are not classified as strong. Furthermore, the p-value of the intercoder reliability test using the t-test was greater than the significance level of 0.05, implying that there was no difference between the test results of the first and second expert groups. This study concludes that customer/citizen satisfaction with government products and services, the effectiveness of strategic planning that focuses on socio-economic development, and legal and ethical compliance of organizational actors are the primary determinants of enhancing regional competitiveness.

This research intended to examine the elements of state loss on Indonesian corruption regulations and to assess the effort of asset recovery concerning state loss, resulting from corruption based on Indonesian law. This was normative legal research employing the statutory approach, the conceptual approach, the fact approach, and the case approach. The study revealed that the components of state loss consist of actual shortages of cash, securities, and goods; it was caused by illicit actions, either intentionally or negligently; and losses whose amount can be calculated based on the findings of the authorized agency or appointed public accountant. In the Indonesian legal system, asset recovery initiatives can be analyzed through the lens of both criminal and administrative laws. According to criminal law, asset recovery can occur in multiple stages of the criminal justice system, whereas under administrative law, asset recovery must comply with Article 34 of Government Regulation No. 48 of 2016 on the procedures for imposing administrative sanctions on government officials.
