Is the dark triad always detrimental to firm performance? Testing different performance outcomes and the moderating effects of competitive rivalry

Abstract: There is growing evidence that CEOs who have the ‘dark triad’ of personality traits (Machiavellianism, narcissism, and psychopathy) detrimentally influence firm performance.
