Is the Weinberg model ofCPviolation really excluded?

Abstract: We give an updated analysis on various CP-violating effects in the Weinberg three-Higgs-doublet model of CP violation. Because of the improved estimate of the 77-77' mixing and of the K -I~~ transition, the sign of E'/E is predicted to be the same as that of the chiral suppression of CP-odd K-27: amplitudes (owing to the presence of tadpole contributions) and is most likely to be positive, contrary to previous calculations. The neutron electric dipole moment d,, due to neutral-Higgs-boson exchange at the one-l… Show more

“…Thus, the value of d , at one-loop level is not far from the experimental limit [26] dFPt < 1.2 X 1 0~'~ e cm. As pointed out by Cheng [12], the original Weinberg model could be ruled out by higher loop contributions to d,. The naive-dimensional-analysis (NDA) estimate of d, on the Weinberg three-gluon operator [27,28] arising from two-loop diagrams with charged-Higgs-boson exchanges [29] yields j 121 and d,3g-4 x e cm by using Eq.…”
