Purpose This paper aims to view the weights and measures in the Hijaz during the first Abbasid period to define the fundamental measures on which the Islamic jurisprudence is based. Design/methodology/approach Applying a historical archive methodology, this paper highlights the significance of weight units as standard tools necessary for Muslims, in daily economic dealings, to control the value of goods and determine their size. Findings The most prominent weight units in Hijaz during the Abbasid period were limited to Ratl, Mann and spice. The most prominent units in the Hijaz during the Abbasid period were confined to Sa’aa, Al-Mudd and Al-Mukook. Not all units of weight in the Islamic State were used in all territories, but each territory specialized in particular units. Originality/value Weight units and measures are essential in religious transactions associated with determining the size of legitimate payments such as zakat, Diyah, dowry, expiation of the oath and delegation of the ritual. They are related to the rules of the act of worship of Wudu and ablution. With that in mind, implications on economic modeling and humanomics can be concluded.

Inheritance issue is part of our life. Daily, many persons may die. Person is gone, while his money stays for others. Islamic law took care of the issue of inheritance. Al-Quran has verses dedicated in inheritance issue. Al-Quran gives every person its rights, so; the share for each heir is determined. Islamic law jurists are asked frequently to solve inheritance issues. This work; inheritance issues’ features extraction using Arabic text analyzer (IFAA) hopes to analyze inheritance issue. It receives the issue as Arabic unstructured characterized text. It applies Arabic analyzer system to extract all features. Many commercial applications are constructed to solve inheritance issue; they receive the features manually, while this work is an attempt to computerize features' extracting. This work needs a good experience in analyzing Arabic text. So, this research attempts developing Arabic analyzer system dedicated in inheritance issues, which has the ability to analyze inheritance issue and extract its features. It will be shown that Arabic analyzer system is useful in converting Arabic text into data that are understandable by programming languages, and those data could be used to perform arithmetic calculations, and achieve high accuracy reaches to 100%.

Hukum waris adalah salah satu hukum utama Islam di Indonesia. Jika dalam peninggalan harta waris muncul perselisihan dalam pembagiannya dan menimbulkan sengketa di antara pihak yang berkepentingan, maka harus diselesaikan di Pengadilan Agama. Berita acara merupakan catatan resmi persidangan yang memuat segala kejadian di sidang pengadilan sehubungan dengan perkara yang disusun oleh panitera. Dokumen berita acara persidangan berbentuk tidak terstruktur dan ketiadaan aplikasi pencarian informasi untuk mendapatkan kedudukan dalam keluarga akan memperlambat proses penyusunan putusan di pengadilan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan sebuah penelitian Rule Based Information Extraction yang mampu melakukan ekstraksi dokumen berita acara untuk mendapatkan data inti yaitu nama ahli waris, kedudukan dalam keluarga, dan jenis harta muwaris. Tahap awal dari penelitian ini adalah pembuatan rule yang terdiri dari kata kunci, kata prefix, dan kata sufiks. Selanjutnya dilakukan tahap ekstraksi data seperti tokenisasi, case folding, dan penghapusan bilangan. Hasil dari ekstraksi adalah perolehan jenis harta muwaris. Proses selanjutnya adalah hitung proporsi, yang akan menghasilkan output berbentuk pohon keluarga beserta harta yang diterima oleh masing-masing ahli waris. Berdasarkan uji coba yang dilakukan, ketepatan akurasi bila dicocokkan dengan proses manual pada ekstraksi nama ahli waris dapat mencapai rata-rata 90,50%.
