Abstract:We have investigated diindenoperylene (DIP) thin films deposited on Au(110) single crystals, by using a multi-technique approach based on X-ray photoemission spectroscopy (XPS), resonant photoemission spectroscopy (RPES), near edge X-ray absorption fine structure (NEXAFS) spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy (AFM) and photoemission electron microscopy (PEEM). DIP molecules are physisorbed on gold, with image-charge screening playing the major role as an interface phenomenon. DIP thin films show Stranski-Krast… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
