Isolated Ascending Colon Gangrene With Persistent Ascending Mesocolon: A Case Report

Abstract: Persistent mesocolon is a rare embryological anomaly that occurs when the primitive dorsal mesocolon fails to fuse with the posterior lateral parietal peritoneum allowing for volvulus of the cecum and colon.
