Isolated suppurative submandibular sialadenitis in a preterm neonate

Abstract: Neonatal isolated suppurative submandibular sialadenitis (NISSS) is rare, with only 21 cases described in the English literature. All cases, with the exception of one, were caused by Staphylococcus aureus.
