“…The sporophore nature of the selected potential isolate was observed in the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). The optimum culture conditions for maximum production of active compound was determined by using various ranges of temperature (4-50EC), pH (4-10), incubation period and salinity (1-32%) on different culture media, including ISP (1-7) media recommended by the International Streptomyces Project (ISP) and other standard procedures 10 .…”

“…Soil samples from Kerala were acquired, sealed in sterile Ziploc bags, and transported to the laboratory. They were air-dried and suspended in sterile distilled water (1 g/100 mL), homogenized by vortexing, and 0.1 mL of the serially diluted sample of 10 -5 dilution was pour plated on the International Streptomyces Project 4 (ISP-4) agar for isolation of Streptomyces [16]. Post incubation, the antimicrobial activity of the isolate was recorded by observing the inhibition zone around the inoculated spot with the isolated strains.…”

“…The morphology of the colonies was elevated with wrinkled surface and solid density was similar to other studies on Streptomyces sp. (Djebbah et al 2021). Streptomyces is characterized by dry, tiny compact, soft to powdery colonies constantly attached to the medium forming aerial and substrate mycelium with an earthy smell (Sathi et al 2001;Yanti et al 2019).…”
