Isolation of Some Organic Acids in the Presence of Pyruvic Acid

Abstract: SUMMARYLower volatile fatty acids, formic acid and lactic acid were isolated by partition chromatography in the presence of pyruvic acid. It appeared that previous conversion of pyruvic acid to acetic acid was necessary.
