Isolement, Structure et Synthèse de la Vochysine, Pyrrolidinoflavanne de Vochysia guianensis

Abstract: Vochysine, the first naturally occurring pyrrolidinoflavanne has been isolated from the fruits of Vm5ysiaguianensis. Its structure (1) has been determined from its spectral data and chemical properties and has been confirmed by its synthesis. Show more

“…The combined analysis of the data (HREIMS, 1 H and 13 C NMR, HSQC and HMBC) suggested that this compound had a skeleton similar to that of isocoumarin [9], except for the replacement of a lactone unit by a lactam. How the mono-substituted benzene ring was linked to the isocoumarin-like moiety was solved by the HMBC spectrum ( ether (10) [12], naringenin 7-methyl ether (11) [13], and 5,7-dihydroxy-8-prenylflavone (12) [14]. Stilbenoids are produced by three malonyl-CoAs and one cinnamoyl-CoA/p-coumaroyl-CoA via stilbene synthase (STS, belonging to the polyketide synthase family).…”

“…Thirty six flavonoids (48-84) and 1 chalcone (75) were reported, so far, from Vochysiaceae (Corrêa et al 1981(Corrêa et al , 1985Lopes et al 1979;Baudouin et al Nasser et al (2006) 1983). In addition the flavonoidal chromone alkaloid vochysine (81), a pyrrolidinoflavane with a pyrrolidyl group at C-4, were isolated from fruits of Vochysia guianensis.…”

“…The framework of a 2-flavene (¼ 2-phenyl-4H-1-benzopyran) in daemonorol D (4) is the first observation as a natural product, although the synthesis of 4 has been reported in [18]. Daemonorol E (5) has been previously synthesized [19]; however, this is the first report of its isolation from a natural source and of its detailed spectral data. Daemonorol F (6) is an isomer of 7, suggesting that 8-methylated flavans were plausible precursors of 1 -3.…”
