Isomere des Dischwefeldinitrids, S2N2

Abstract: Die UV-Photolyse (l = 248 oder 255 nm) von cyclischem S 2 N 2 , das in fester Argonmatrix isoliert wurde, ergibt zwei offenschalige S 2 N 2 -Isomere, trans-SNSN ( 3 A'') und cis-SNSN ( 3 A''), sowie das geschlossenschalige C 2v -symmetrische Dimer (SN) 2 ( 1 A 1 ). Show more

“…The frequencies for the two NPN stretching modes in FP( μ ‐N) 2 S are significantly lower than those in the five‐membered aromatic rings cyclo ‐SPNPN [25] at 1045.4/910.7 ( v (PN)) and 713.9 cm −1 ( v as (NPN)) and anionic cyclo ‐P 2 N 3 − at 714 cm −1 ( v as (NPN)), [26] suggesting that the two P−N bonds in FP( μ ‐N) 2 S are weaker. The lowest frequency mode observed at 465.9 cm −1 corresponds to the butterfly motion of the ring, and it is close to that of the structurally analogous molecule S 2 N 2 at 473.7 cm −1 (Ar‐matrix) [4a] …”

“…The frequency for the v (PN) mode in FPNSN is significantly higher than that in FPNF (1116.8 cm −1 , Δ v ( 15 N)=25.3 cm −1 , Ar‐matrix) but lower than that in singlet F 2 PN (1372.0 cm −1 , Δ v ( 15 N)=24.4 cm −1 , Ar‐matrix) [23] . The frequency for the stretching mode of the terminal SN moiety in FPNSN is 1279.7 cm −1 , higher than those for the same mode in Ar‐matrix isolated SNSN ( cis : 1226.1 cm −1 , trans : 1251.6 cm −1 ), [4a] F 2 PSN (1175.5 cm −1 ), and F 2 PNS (1223.5 cm −1 ) [27] . Therefore, the PN and the terminal SN moieties in FPNSN have dominant multiple bonding properties.…”
