Iterative solution of a class of nonlinear Fredholm integral equations

Abstract

Abstract. We consider the numerical solution of functional integral equations, a particular class of nonlinear Fredholm integral equations, by the collocation method with piecewise linear basis functions. The nonlinear algebraic system arising from the spatial discretization is iteratively solved with a fixed-point algorithm.
