Abstract: Background: Breast cancer is the most common site-specific cancer in women. During modified radical mastectomy, conventionally, electric scalpel is used for raising skin flaps and achieving haemostasis. In ultrasonic shear, high frequency sound waves are used for cutting and coagulation.
