Japanese business communication practices in Thailand: tales from an electronic components manufacturer

Abstract: PurposeThis article reviews the practice of horenso (a mnemonic for hokoku/reporting, renraku/informing and sodan/consulting) – an under-documented Japanese communication methodology – at a Japanese-owned subsidiary in Thailand.
