Abstract:In this proceeding we emphasize the importance of jet substructure studies for testing theoretical approaches of understanding jet-medium interactions. We will review some established experimental measurements of infrared and collinear safe jet observables and the comparisons with theory calculations. The observables discussed here are the radial and longitudinal jet energy profiles, as well as the jet radius dependence of the jet suppression factor R AA which is sensitive to the jet internal structure. We als… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
