“…In the previous studies, the different modes of collision‐induced subduction jump have generally been investigated separately by different types of geodynamic models. These studies indicate that the favorable conditions of subduction polarity reversal include the positively buoyant and rheologically strong subducting plate, young and weak overriding plate, weak mantle wedge, and so on (Almeida, Riel, Rosas, Duarte, & Kaus, 2022; Almeida, Riel, Rosas, Duarte, & Schellart, 2022; Baes et al., 2011; Dong et al., 2022; Riel et al., 2023; Sun et al., 2021; Wang et al., 2022; S. X. Zhang & Leng, 2021). Alternatively, the subduction transference can be resulting if the overriding plate is rheologically strong or has continental affinity, with other favorable conditions including young and moderate‐sized oceanic plateau with a strongly depleted mantle root, existence of weakness at the far‐end passive margin of the subducting terrane, the forced convergence, and so on (Liu et al., 2021; Tao et al., 2020; Yan et al., 2021; S. H. Yang et al., 2018; Zhong & Li, 2020).…”
