“…Research community has mainly focused on IRS-assisted communication scenarios, but IRS-assisted RF-powered systems has been gaining interest recently, e.g., refer to [97] for an analysis and optimization of an IRS-assisted WPCN, while an IRS-assisted SWIPT setup is investigated in [98]- [100]. Particularly attractive are the analysis and discussions carried out in [99] and [100], which are general enough to be extrapolated to purely WET-setups (the focus of our work) since EH devices and information decoding devices are considered as separate entities.…”

“…Recently IRS has been combined with energy harvesting to improve SE and EE of the network. In [79] authors proposed an IRS based MISO system with multiple users by employing SWIPT.For a multi antenna system, joint optimization of transmit beamforming at the transmitter as well as passive reflective beamforming at IRS is suggested for maximizing the received power at EH receivers with SINR and maximum transmit power constraint at the ID receiver as well as the transmitter respectively. Authors in [80], discussed an IRS assisted downlink MISO system with multiple users and presented two low complexity EE maximization algorithms for transmit power allocation of BS and IRS reflector parameters.…”

“…Similarly, in [151], the authors studied joint active and passive beamforming optimization for IRS-aided multiuser MISO SWIPT network with linear EH model. The authors developed an AO and SDR algorithm to obtain a sub-optimal solution for the formulated non-convex max-min harvested power problem at all the EH receivers, under a given set of individual information receiver SINR-constraints, BS transmit power, and continuous IRS phase shifts.…”
