Jost states for the Deng-Fan potential

Abstract: Deng-Fan Potential is well known in describing diatomic molecular energy spectra and electromagnetic transitions. An irregular solution for the Deng-Fan potential is constructed by adapting the differential equation approach to the problem. The Jost function thus obtained is applied to find bound state energies and the scattering phase shifts for nuclear systems. Also phase function method has been applied in parallel with that of Jost function technique for similar investigation. Results show close agreement … Show more

“…Within the framework of the shifted Deng Fan potential (SDF), Sajedi [25] studied the cluster structure of astrophysically important 19 Ne nucleus. In recent past, working with the exponential class of potentials, our group obtained exact analytical solution of the elastic Deng Fan potential [26] scattering of a particle in S-wave and obtained the phase parameters using the Jost function methodology for the systems under consideration in the nuclear realm.…”

“…Interestingly, many simple phenomenological forms such as Square well, Malfiet-Tjon [7], Hulthen [8], have also been utilised for studying the deuteron problem. Recently, molecular potentials such as Manning-Rosen [9], Morse [10] and Deng-Fan [11] have been proposed.…”
