Purpose: This study aimed to clarify the present position of Ultrasonography in the scholarly journal network with a variety of bibliometric indicators. Furthermore, developmental strategies for Ultrasonography to become a top-tier journal are suggested. Methods: The following bibliometric indicators were analyzed: number of citable articles, countries of authors, total cites, impact factor, Hirsch index, authors' countries and source titles of citing articles, and the titles of sources cited by articles in Ultrasonography. Results: The annual number of citable articles was consistently 40 from 2014 to 2019. The number of countries of authors increased to 22 in 2018-2019. The numbers of total cites reached 632 in Web of Science, 595 in Scopus, and 552 in the Crossref metadata in 2019. The estimated 2-year impact factor soared from 2.15 in 2016 to 3.20 in 2019. The Hirsch index was 20 in both Scopus and the Web of Science Core Collection. Authors from 76 countries cited Ultrasonography. The number of source titles of citing articles was 668, and the number of source titles cited by articles in Ultrasonography was 1,246. Conclusion: The above bibliometric results show that Ultrasonography has become a top-tier journal in its field. Ultrasonography furnishes an example of how after changing its language policy to English-only, a local society journal became a highly cited journal in a short period of time. For further development of the journal, adoption of a data-sharing policy is recommended. Furthermore, indexation in MEDLINE should be pursued in the near future.

Exceptions were present: Clinics in Orthopedic Surgery , where all of the 15 highly-cited articles were original articles, except one [ 19 ], and Blood Research [ 20 ], where out of 10 highly-cited articles, half the type of publication were review articles while the other half were original articles.…”

BackgroundIn 2013, Infection & Chemotherapy changed the main language of its articles to English so that they could be submitted to PubMed Central. This study presents the recent status of journal metrics for Infection & Chemotherapy and introduces scholarly journal publishing policies or guidelines that have recently appeared.Materials and MethodsA variety of journal metrics were analyzed based on the Web of Science Core Collection, including the nationality of authors the proportion of funded articles to original articles , manually calculated impact factor, the titles of journals in which articles were cited, and the Hirsch index.ResultsOut of 181 articles of Infection & Chemotherapy published between 2015 and 2018, the highest number of authors were from Korea (165, 91.2%). There were articles from 11 other countries. The proportion of funded articles to original articles has increased yearly and has reached 46.7% in 2018. The manually calculated impact factor of the year 2017 was 1.728, which corresponded to 21.5% of the 2017 Journal Citation Reports (JCR) category of “infectious diseases”. There were 196 source journal titles that cited Infection & Chemotherapy in the 2015–2018 issues. The Hirsch index was 15.ConclusionThe metrics results above demonstrate that over the years, Infection & Chemotherapy was developed into a top-level international-level journal so that it could be utilized by researchers across the world. The adoption of new policies including author taxonomy, an open data policy, a clinical data sharing policy, the principles of transparency and best practice in scholarly publishing 3rd edition will help increase the transparency of the authorship and the scientific integrity of the articles.

Background: In recent years, the incidence of hematological tumors has increased. The tumor microenvironment (TME) is the local biological environment in the process of tumor occurrence and development and is closely related to hematological malignancies, including lymphoma and leukemia. This study aims to conduct a bibliometric analysis of the research on the hematological TME, reflect the general situation of the research in this field, and remind the focus of future research.Methods: Search the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E) database on the Web of Science Core Collection (WOSCC). Use subject terms to search tumor microenvironment; the limited search subject is Hematology, and the time range is from 1990 to July 18, 2021. Use CiteSpace software to analyze the number of annual papers published, the number of citations, the distribution of disciplines, the distribution of countries/institutions, the distribution of authors, the distribution of journals, and the frequency of use of keywords and its trend of change.Results: There were 1,992 related research articles cited 77,213 times. The top 5 countries with the number of published papers in this field are: the United States, Italy, China, Germany, and the United Kingdom; the top 5 centrally ranked countries are the United States, Italy, Spain, France, and Japan.Literature and cooperation are mainly from the United States. The top three researchers with several published papers are Anderson KC, Ansell SM, and Gascoyne RD. Their centrality scores are all low, with only 5 researchers reaching above 0.01, and there is less collaboration between the authors. Highquality papers are from Blood, Cancer Res, P Natl Acad Sci USA, and Nature. Keyword analysis shows that immunotherapy is the current focus of research in this field. Conclusions:The research on the microenvironment of hematological malignancies is rapidly developing.At present, the main research focus is on targeted immunotherapy.
