Floor performance relating to daily safety and comfortableness are in uenced by the deformation characteristics of the oor covering. However, these characteristics vary depending on the floor materials and construction methods. This research aims to quantify the relationships between deformation characteristics and oor performance attributes for oor coverings on concrete groundwork. Firstly, sample oors were made with varying deformation characteristics and performance values were measured. Deformation characteristics were then measured using an in-house developed static loading device. Finally, the relationships between deformation characteristics and the performance values were evaluated.
