Justification of the method of dust emissions localization on mobile crushing and sorting complexes of quarries with the use of air-and-water ejectors

Abstract: Rock mass transloading from bunkers to conveyors or from conveyors to conveyors in quarries is accompanied by intense releases of dust into the atmosphere, which is a significant danger to the environment. The regularities of the interaction process between dust particles and droplets of a liquid (water) in polluted air flow are determined. It is established that when the pressure of compressed air is changed from 0.1 to 0.4 MPa (approximately in the range of 1 to 4 atm.), the average size of droplets decrease… Show more

“…Uncontrolled hydrosphere pollution [ 1 , 2 ] and the lack of effective monitoring system of these pollutants, industrial pollution of the earth's surface [ 3 ] and household waste [ 4 ], municipal wastewater treatment waste [ 5 , 6 ], atmosphere pollution [ 7 , 8 ] and other anthropogenic threats to the environment are the most significant hazards to sustainable development. Among them, there are threats related to the lack of an effective solid waste management system.…”

“…The discharge of harmful substances of technogenic origin leads to its accumulation in significant quantities resulting in disturbances of natural geochemical substances cycles which cause the pollution of water sources (Buzylo et al 2018, Naidu et al 2019, Kolesnyk et al 2020. Heavy metals are the most common highly toxic pollutants in water bodies (Malik et al 2019, Vardhan et al 2019, Sorochkina et al 2018.…”
