Abstract: ZusammenfassungDer Beitrag greift die in der bisherigen Forschung verbreitete Immunisierungshypothese auf, nach der christliche Religiosität vor der Wahl rechtspopulistischer Parteien schützt, und entwickelt eine alternative Lesart für diesen Zusammenhang. Dazu wird auf Basis der „German Longitudinal Election Study“ (GLES) von 2015 und 2017 und der „Allgemeinen Bevölkerungsumfrage der Sozialwissenschaften“ (ALLBUS) von 2018 eine Binnendifferenzierung der christlichen Wählerschaft vorgenommen.
