Groundwater is utilized as a clean water source including in Pelauw and Kariu Villages. Drilling and excavating are frequent techniques utilized in the construction of wells that serve as sources of groundwater. As a result of the ocean encircling the majority of this area, salinity may infiltrate wells. Consequently, the purpose of this study was to ascertain whether seawater intrusion had occurred in 12 nearby wells. Major ion tests were carried out in the lab, while surveys and measurement fields were carried out for the sampling procedure. Ion Cl, EC, TDS, Simpson ratio, and BEX data are used in the analysis to determine whether seawater intrusion is present. Additionally, the Piper diagram is used to categorize different types of water based on the outcomes of the main ion test. The findings indicated that Cl-, EC, and TDS levels have increased at a number of the sampling sites. At point A09, there is an indication of seawater intrusion based on the BEX values, which shows a negative number. The majority of the well water, as determined by a water classification analysis using the Piper diagram, is of the calcium carbonate type. Meanwhile, the remaining portion is separated into the calcium sulfate and sodium bicarbonate types.

The environmental conditions for aquaculture needs to be done in line with pollution that occur in waters which is categorized by saprobic index. The heavy metals content in cultured organisms present in the different levels of saprobity was informed by geospatial analysis through the overlay method. The Pb, Cd and Cr content were taken from tissues of milkfish, wild white shrimp and vaname shrimp. An Ikonos satelite Imagery data of Semarang used for geospatial analysis. The research was carried out from June to October 2021 in the brackish water ponds At Tugu district, Semarang, Central Java. The level of saprobity reported in oligosaprobic up to β-mesosaprobic which means lightly polluted to heavily polluted. The content in the water bodies (mg/L) of Pb 0.046 to 0.105, Cd 0.033 to 0.062 and Cr from 0.018 to 0.054 has exceeded the permittable level. Meanwhile, in the pond sediment (mg/kg) : Pb 3.56-6.93; Cr 1.08-3.01 is within permittable limits, however, Cd 1.77-3.53 has exceeded permittable levels. The content of heavy metals (mg/kg) in the tissues of milkfish, wild shrimp and white leg shrimp (L. vannamei): Pb 0.27 to 0.39, Cr 0.16 to 0.23 and Cd from 0.12 to 0.22 is still within permittable limits

Textile industry production activities in one of the Badas areas can have implications for the occurrence of dye liquid waste pollution in the Konto river flow. This implication leads to the public perception that there has been river pollution from textile dyeing liquid waste. In this case, public perceptions need to be analyzed as a form of river environmental monitoring activities. Therefore, public perceptions of pollution were compared with actual water quality data, especially related to dyes in river water, to link public perceptions with environmental resource management efforts. This study aims to analyze public perceptions of textile dye waste pollution and compare the analysis results with the river water quality analysis. Analysis of river water quality (dye content, BOD, COD) was conducted at five sampling points in Badas, Kuwik, Balungjeruk, and Wonorejo villages. Public perception was measured descriptively through interviews with respondents referring to the Slovin method. The analysis of public perceptions shows that the Public considers that there has been pollution of river water, mainly due to textile industry waste, along the Konto River. The results of the water quality analysis showed that dye concentrations were found at four sampling points except for Wonorejo Village. This result shows that the correlation between public perception and data on dye contamination only occurs in Badas, Kuwik, and Balungjeruk villages. In addition, the BOD/COD ratio indicates that pollution has occurred at all observation points in this study.
