Abstract:Abstract. Excess solar radiation may harm the skin. Thus, additional protection like sunscreen is needed. Sunscreen contains chemical and physical (synthetic) UV filter materials to absorb, reflect, and scatter solar radiation before it hits the skin. UV filters that are unstable to light can be degraded and absorbed systematically into the skin.
