Kalzifizierendes Subakromialsyndrom - Klinische und sonographische Ergebnisse unter nicht-operativer Therapie*

Abstract: In the treatment of calcifying tendinitis the conservative methods achieve good and excellent results in 70%. Patients should be treated with analgetics, subacromial injections, physiotherapy and ice therapy up to a period of twelve months, above all with small deposits and radiologic resorptive stadiums. The results of this study should be compared with any invasive regimen.

“…Only one of the published studies on ESWT corresponds to the criteria of good clinical practice (prospective, randomized, placebocontrolled trials), which is problematic since calcifying tendinitis is known to be a self-healing condition [43] demonstrating partial resorption rates of up to 70% after several years [44,45]. In a prospective study, a significant improvement of shoulder function was reported in 115 patients treated for chronically painful calcifying tendinitis of the rotator cuff for at least 12 months and a previous unsuccessful conservative treatment other than ESWT for at least 6 months [46].…”

“…Typical RCCT symptoms are pain in the deltoid region, with variable functional impairment [ 7 9 ] and variable duration of symptoms, ranging from months to years [ 10 12 ]. Treatment of these generally self-limiting symptoms is usually conservative, e.g.…”

“…Die Kalkschulter ist, aufgrund des meist selbstlimitierenden Krankheitsverlaufes, primär für eine konservative Therapie geeignet. In Abhängigkeit der zugrunde liegenden Studie wird eine Erfolgsaussicht bei konservativem Vorgehen um die 70 % beschrieben [36,37]. Diese Therapiestrategie beinhaltet als Ziele ▪ die Reduktion der Entzündung und ▪ den Erhalt bzw.…”
