Kan det godtas å være hjemme fra jobben selv om en strengt tatt er frisk nok til å gå?

Abstract: Forskjeller i holdninger har vaert trukket fram som en mulig forklaring på den vedvarende kjønnsforskjellen i sykefravaer. Vi undersøker om det er kjønnsforskjeller i synet på bruk av sykefravaer i situasjoner der dette strengt tatt ikke er legitimt ut fra sykemeldingsreglementet. Analysen viser at kvinner har større tilbøyelighet enn menn til å akseptere slikt uberettiget sykefravaer. Forskjellen er liten, men robust over tid og mellom aldersgrupper.
