Clitoria ternatea flowers contain blue anthocyanin that has potential as natural coloring. The purpose of this study was to obtain an eyeliner product containing natural coloring that is safe, stable, and can replace hazardous chemicals. Clitoria ternatea flowers were extracted by kinetic maceration with 70% ethanol. The obtained extract was subjected to standard quality tests, phytochemical screening, and determination of total anthocyanin content and antioxidant activity (DPPH assay). Eyeliner-containing extracts were prepared in three pH variations (acidic, neutral, and alkaline). These three types of eyeliner preparations were subjected to an irritation test on shaved male albino white rabbit skin. stability test using the cycle test method, hardness, break point, and melting point were also performed. The results showed that Clitoria ternatea extract contains 0.2187% anthocyanin, has an antioxidant activity IC50 of104.7 µg/mL, and is free of heavy metals. The eyeliner contained Clitoria ternatea extract was dark blue when applied to the skin. Eyeliner preparations were stable in three stability cycle tests. The irritation test on the male albino rabbit skin showed no irritation. Clitorial ternatea extract can be used as natural coloring in eyeliner preparation. The butterfly flowers (Clitoria ternatea L.) are used as natural dyes and herbal medicines because they contain metabolites, anthocyanins and antioxidants. The content of these metabolites is influenced by the phase of flower development. This study aims to determine the levels of anthocyanins, antioxidants and metabolites of butterfly pea flowers from different flowering phases. The Butterfly flower collection was taken from the village of Mulyaguna, Teluk Gelam, Ogan Komering Ilir, South Sumatra. The extraction was carried out with 70% ethanol solvent, and determination of the amount of anthocyanin content by spectrophotometry, antioxidant content by DPPH method, and metabolite compounds by GC-MS. Data on anthocyanin and antioxidant content were analyzed with averages and standard deviations, and GC-MS chromatograms were traced for compounds with reference to the PubChem, KEGG, ChEBI, PlantCyc, and Spectrabase websites, which then determined the dominant compound group. The results of the study on blooming butterfly pea flowers found that the antioxidant content was 6.58 ppm, higher than that of bud flowers, which were 2.55 ppm, and wither flowers, which were 1.74 ppm. The anthocyanin content of the blooming butterfly pea flower was 40.33 ppm, the withering flower was 4.36 ppm, and the bud flower was 3.60 ppm. The dominant metabolites were identified as fatty acids, organic acids, aromatics and flavanoids, followed by differences in antioxidant and anthocyanin content in the flowering phase of the butterfly pea flower

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh asam sitrat dalam ekstraksi antosianin bunga kembang sepatu. penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap yang terdri dari 5 taraf perlakuan asam sitrat yaitu 0%, 3%, 5%, 7% dan 9%. Data di analisis menggunakan Analisys of Varian (ANOVA) dan uji lanjut Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) pada taraf kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan asam sitrat berpengaruh nyata terhadap rendemen, pH, warna dan konsentrasi antosianin. perlakuan asam sitrat 9% merupakan perlakuan terbaik dengan rendemen 75,12%; pH 3,23; L 40,33; A 58,00; B 30,33 dengan deskripsi warna dark red dan kadar antosianin sebesar 135,04 (mg cyaniding 3-glukosida/100 g bahan).
